AVP - Cyber Insurance Underwriter
- AU Small Finance Bank is seeking a meticulous Insurance Underwriter to assess the risk factors of potential clients and establish coverage terms.

- Your responsibilities will include conducting detailed risk assessments, reviewing technical security controls, analysing client cybersecurity posture, and collaborating with the underwriting team. - Review insurance applications for compliance and adherence
- Assess clients' background information and financial status
- Liaise with specialists to gather information and opinions
- Weight loss exposures and determine underwriting alternatives
- Draw up a quotes for competitive insurance premiums
- Negotiate and define the specific terms of insurance policies with insurer or policyholders
- Keep detailed records of policies underwritten and decisions made
- Balance between mass and homogeneity of risks to achieve predictability of future results
- Maintaining ongoing and regular interactions with key distribution partners is critical to building new, and fostering existing, client relationships.
- Your deep understanding of the latest cyber threats, vulnerabilities, trends, and regulatory landscape will contribute to continuous improvement of cyber risk assessment methodologies and tools used in underwriting large risks.
- This include providing expert advice, guidance on cybersecurity best practices, and ensuring accurate risk evaluation.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5+ years of underwriting experience, preferably in Cyber/Technology/Telecom/Misc & E&O coverage
- Professional certifications such as FIII & AIII CISSP, CISA , GESC, SSCP, CASP+,GCIH, CISM, CEH, or similar are highly desirable.
- In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity concepts, frameworks, and technologies
- Able to thrive in an entrepreneurial and collaborative underwriting environment
