ATOM Systems - Data Scientist - Google Cloud Platform (3-5 yrs)
Looking for a highly skilled and motivated Data Scientist with extensive experience in Google Cloud and Vertex AI to join our growing team of data professionals. The successful candidate will contribute to the development and deployment of advanced analytics and machine learning models to drive insights and solve complex business problems.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deploy machine learning and advanced analytics models using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Vertex AI tools.
- Collect, preprocess, and analyze large datasets to extract meaningful insights and identify patterns, trends, and anomalies.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, software developers, product managers, and business stakeholders, to understand business requirements and develop analytics solutions.
- Optimize and fine-tune machine learning models for performance and scalability, using tools such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar frameworks.
- Leverage GCP tools, such as BigQuery, Dataflow, and Pub/Sub, to build end-to-end data pipelines and automate data processing tasks.
- Develop custom data visualizations, dashboards, and reports using tools like Data Studio, Looker, or Tableau to communicate insights and findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of deployed models, and iterate to improve their accuracy and effectiveness.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and cloud technologies, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the team's skills and methodologies.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior data scientists and analysts.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field (Master's or Ph.D. preferred).
- A minimum of (3-5) years of experience as a data scientist, with a focus on machine learning and advanced analytics.
- Proven experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Vertex AI, including BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, and AI Platform.
- Strong programming skills in Python, R, or another data science-related language.
- Proficiency in machine learning libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.
- Experience with data visualization and reporting tools, such as Data Studio, Looker, or Tableau.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- A passion for learning and staying up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in data science and cloud technologies.
- Experience working in an agile development environment.
