JD - Senior Buyer Electrical & Electronics Engg Experience - 7-15 Years What will I be doing at Ather? - Understand Materials Requirements Planning (MRP)/Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP) process - Action for all new buys, push, pull, cancel, pre-delivery confirmations to supplier and monitor past due POs - Receive and evaluate supplier responses and take appropriate action & escalations - Alert program management and planning of any potential issues. - Work directly with planning to review and coordinate total demand and demand changes - Communicate issues and suggest resolution to program and other participants of the customer teams. - Work with planning to review Engineering Change Order (ECO) impact on open orders. - Manage procurement of material and strive to reduce total costs to less than target. - Consistently validate lead-time and Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ) to ensure accuracy. - Get Purchase Price Variance (PPV) approval through the proper process. - Complete resolution of Accounts Payable issues. - Resolve receiving discrepancies (RDR), Material Review Board (MRB), Return to Vendor (RTV) and PPV issues - Review and resolve suppliers invoice holds - Negotiate pricing, delivery and other terms and conditions consistent with business requirements. - Manage the material on order with suppliers so as not to exceed the plant's inventory goal Sourcing - - Implement Strategic Sourcing and Maintain Appropriate AVL List periodically based Business requirement - Get the legal agreement from New Supplier(NDA) before sharing the RFQs - Negotiate and Consolidate Quote in all aspects like MOQ, LT, Freight Terms and all Legal Terms before bidding - Ensure commercial, legal and contractual compliances in all the procurement transactions. - Analysing & interpreting new product drawings/specifications. - Coordinating & performing on-site assessment of selected suppliers - Develop, implement and drive the procurement strategies to meet cost savings targets. - Identify and resolve discrepancies between drawings and purchased products - Work with CFT to resolve issue of NPD challenges with Supplier - Coordination of tooling/prototypes/first articles and subsequent evaluation through manufacturing - Continuously monitor BOMs, seeking opportunities for improvement in costing What kind of experience & skills do I need for this role? - Able to build and maintain effective and productive relationships with staff, stakeholders and suppliers - Experience of working in a purchasing team within an automotive or manufacturing environment - Good communication, negotiation, interpersonal and influencing skills - Ensure the suppliers to deliver purchased items in a timely manner What should I have graduated in? - Bachelor's or Master's in Electronic/ electrical engineering
