Ather Energy - Program Manager

Ather is a 300-member strong hardware startup based out of Bangalore, building India's first smart electric scooter, the Ather S340 and the revolutionary Ather 450. Designed in-house and built ground-up, both the scooters are high-performance vehicles powered by a lithium-ion battery pack, has a touchscreen dashboard and a host of smart features. Ather raised its series B funding from Hero MotoCorp. The series A and seed funding were backed by Tiger global & Flipkart. Both the S340 and S450 have hit the manufacturing lines and we are on track to begin our first set of Vehicle deliveries for this year.

What will I be doing at Ather?

As a Program Manager, you will be reporting to the GM-Programs and the following will be your responsibilities.

- Experience in working with cross-functional teams to solve complex technical/technology problems.

- Experience managing and maintaining complex projects across multiple teams

- Working closely with all teams to identify risks on a day to day basis, look for mitigations, unblock technical teams.

- Resolve complex issues between teams through facilitation skills

- Report any impediments/red flags to the Program Management Office and respective functional heads. Must have the ability to raise escalations to handle these, and subsequently plan for solutions while adhering to strict deadlines.

- Possess excellent communications and have good command over verbal and written skills

- Keep a clear focus on details - the devil's in the details!

- Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate effectively and work with multiple teams. A - get-it-done- self-starter who not only gets it done quickly and smartly but delivers a high-quality result.

- Proactive, flexible, and have impeccable follow through. Eagerly take on any tasks that need to be accomplished, keeping an open & positive attitude.

- Should have good knowledge of a general automotive product development lifecycle(s). The person should be a go-getter with the ability to multi-task and stay on top of a lot of things simultaneously. The person should be savvy with relevant tools for project management.

- Liaison with different Engineering functions in assessing, tracking and reporting.

- Drive Project progress and ensure business results.

What kind of experience & skills do I need for this role?

- Strong project management skills- ability to handle multiple projects having unstructured scoping

- SCRUM/AGILE is a plus skill. MBA and PMP/PgMP desired.

- Demonstrating flexibility and initiative in achieving the desired outcome and to act in an independent manner

- Good understanding of IT systems like JIRA, PLM, Automation

What should I have graduated in?

- BE/BS degree in engineering required with a strong background in Program/Project management.
