An Investment Banking firm with operations across India and Southeast Asia.

Position based at Nariman Point - Mumbai

MBA / CFA/ CA

Salary Offered - Rs.25.00 Lakhs P.A - Rs.30.00 Lakhs P.A Max

Transaction Execution: Provide execution support to the Director Group

- Manage operational and technical execution aspects of a deal from origination to conversion into a client & finally into a mandate

- Understanding the client requirement and offer the correct service/product advise

- Understanding and articulating the bank/investor requirements for a financing mandate by liaising with internal senior management and discussion with external financiers, as necessary

- Guide the junior deal team (analyst and associates) in drafting the Engagement Letter - especially with regards to commercials and key deliverables

- Manage the client and transactions by designing and reviewing all analysis and presentation created by the deal team

- Review and/or develop financial modelling and structuring, depending on the size of the transactions

Client and Financier Relationship Management:

- Maintain a regular dialogue with clients to execute existing deals and develop new transactions

- Maintain relationships with investor community (banks/NBFC and/or financial sponsors)

- Clear and regular communication with clients and ensuring complete updation on deal progress

- Resolve any clients related issues in conjunction with the Director Group

- Maintain client relationship after deal closing

Supervise and guide in the creation of analytical deal documentation:

- Financial models using excel and other financial tools

- Financial analysis including funding requirements, debt capacity assessments, rescheduling/refinancing requirements for debt. For equity, analysis including valuation techniques that include DCF, relative valuation. Comparable company analysis, precedent transaction analysis and trading multiples etc

- Also, other analysis, including calculation of proforma earnings, accretion/dilution, sum of the parts, etc

- Assist the client with managing the due-diligence requirements of potential financiers

Deal origination:

- Research and analysis of various companies and industries in India

- Build knowledge and data required for current and foreseeable financing transactions

- Be part of forums/conferences/seminars to build connects with financial sponsors and financiers on one hand and corporate group on the other

- Identify and develop connects and contacts for potential clients and financiers on a regular basis, working closely with the Director Group

- Give potential leads and probable deal connects to the Director Group

General responsibilities:

- Lead and manage the project and/or deal team

- Assigning tasks within the team members (associates/analyst) in consultation with the Director Group.

Knowledge

- Excellent industry and financial analysis and modelling skills, including debt capacity evaluation, scenario and stress analysis, and valuation techniques include DCF, Relative Valuation, SOTP, etc

- Ability to comprehend data (both qualitative & quantitative) and communicate succinctly

- Excellent understanding of specific sectors/industries including the various issues, trends and outlook for them

- Ability to build financial models using financials tools and spread sheets

- Should be able to conduct complicated financial analysis and offer the appropriate corporate finance solution

- Strong knowledge of the various Investment Banking products offered by Company

- Understanding of financing products offered in India and other parts of Asia

Skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Ability to work on multiple transactions/projects

- Ability to use the library and the web to do research, as well as use of data bases like Capital IQ, Bloomberg

- Existing relationships with 7-10 key financiers (PSU or private banks, PE or NBFC) in India

- Ability to ideate on new transaction ideas, especially in financing areas

- Ability to work under pressure in different situations

- Possess excellent interpersonal skills for interaction with both senior management & all staff

- Ability to work in a time sensitive environment

- Strong analytical, report writing & summary writing skills

- Strong problem solving skills

- Commercial Instinct to evaluate potential deal opportunities

- Financing modelling for financing - including debt capacity calculations, ratios and covenant calculations, rescheduling or refinancing debt scenarios

- Valuation skills - DCF, SOTP, Relative Valuation

- Strong expertise in MS Excel, Power Point, Word etc

- Good command over English communication (both written & verbal) and presentation skills
