Description - This Japanese Speaking Equity Research role for Japan market is created strategically to look after Japanese Equity research market, works as part of the Asia Pacific Equity Research team who is growing rapidly.

Job Description

The Equity Research Associate / VP role will be part of the Tactical Research Team, looks after Japan market:

- The Tactical research Team is tasked with identifying mispriced stocks not currently covered by the bank

- The team will develop commercial stock ideas, generate reports and work closely with the Equity Sales team to advise and support clients

- This role will also advise on key thematic issues influencing the region

- This role will provide team members a wide range of stock coverage across multiple sectors

Profile

The successful candidate for this Equity Research Associate / VP position will be able to demonstrate the following criteria:

- Fluency (written and spoken) in English and Japanese is essential

- 2 to 5 years experience in equities research

- Strong modelling and database skills are essential

- Demonstrated ability to write high quality, evidence-based projects or reports

- Ability to generate new ideas and possibilities, and to see business opportunities from a novel perspective

- Ability to provide business-related added value, including innovative approaches and new or improved solutions

- Team Orientation / Teamwork / Collaboration: The willingness to work as a member of a team
