Associate Vice President - Operational Excellence

Role :

- Individual will function in a change leadership role - leading teams to drive operational excellence for the aligned portfolio as well as leading transformational cross-functional initiatives across GDCE business and enterprise segments.

- Role is focused on driving positive change (process Improvement, business priorities) through several interventions aligned to the various businesses and delivery teams, both inside and outside the GDCE, including the build and management of the culture of continuous improvement through application of Six Sigma, Lean, DFSS and Project Management methodologies. She is also expected to liaise with multiple internal and external stakeholders in order to develop and execute priorities along with necessary governance and communication routines.

- Individual should have also demonstrated an insightful ability to build strategy & its successful deployment. Incumbent will be responsible for end-2-end performance of the aligned businesses. In addition, due to ever changing environment, she should have demonstrated the core capability to continuously prioritize and re-evaluate strategic execution plans.

Responsibilities :

- Stakeholder Management:

- Regular connect with relevant stakeholders to ensure continuous and optimum alignment with changing business needs. Includes discussion routines or reviews - both for ideation as well as progress updates for specific initiatives, projects or focus areas.

- Promptly address any process issues and opportunities that need attention

- Ability to timely identify and call out gaps along with plans to address them; help the business become audit ready and strong on performance fundamentals

- Gain a - Seat on the Table- - ensure involvement in key initiatives of the aligned business segments

- Strategic Initiatives:

- Participate in strategic initiatives of the OPEX / LOB org basis skills and business need

- Initiatives inclusive of (but not limited to)

- Business or Functional priorities

- GDCE focus areas

- OPEX themes for the calendar year

- Domain & Technical Skill enhancement

- Leveraging industry-wide methodologies and best-practices

- Team Management

- Lead and manage team of OPEX partners to deliver significant business impacts for delivery

- Constantly energize and revitalize the teams, align vision and effort to business/ GDCE priorities, and continuously up-skill the teams to be able to drive the right and positive change

- Ability to apply knowledge and understanding of team and functional dynamics to marry skills and aspirations of team members

- Focus on career progression and development of top talent and consistently work on bottom quartile performers

- Operational Excellence and Continuous Process Improvement:

- Ensure adherence to all internal and business performance metrics with zero surprises

- Be an ambassador of OPEX and the culture of continuous improvement across lines and forums

- Drive ideation and execution of ideas

- Support & promote Innovation

- Have the ability to question and focus on details in order to have deeper understanding and subject matter expertise on industry standards, best practices, trends and evolving ideas.

Mandatory skills :

- University degree

- Understanding and working knowledge of - Off Shoring- industry

- Quality background (Six Sigma/ Lean / Kaizen) with implementation experience

- 12 years of overall experience with at least 5 years of relevant experience

- Black Belt Certification

- Change Leadership Skills

- Strong business acumen and ability to pick-up aligned banking domain

- Ability to energize, motivate and guide high potential teams

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills including conflict management and negotiation

- Ability to map to leadership thought and translate into clear actionable for teams

- Ability to flex/ stretch/ multi-task given time-critical business needs

Desired skill :

- Knowledge of SAS JMP

- Master Black Belt Certification / PMP certification

- Prior experience of 3+ years in mentoring PE (Process Excellence)/ GB / BB projects.

- Experience in delivering Six Sigma and Lean trainings would be an added advantage
