Associate Specialist - Fixed Income

Opportunity:

To partner with the Fixed Income research team of a leading European private banking and wealth management firm with over 180 years of successful existence, for providing investment advisory support

Candidate profile

- Post Graduate in Finance with preferably CFA- Level 2 certification from CFA Institute, USA

- 2-6 years of experience in providing fixed income research on major developed markets, such as the US, Japan, and Europe; and emerging markets nations (China, Brazil, etc.)

- Strong exposure and interest in assessing global macro-economic, financial market, political, and central bank/ monetary policy related developments

- Ability to critically analyse the impact of such developments on global fixed-income space (Inflation, policy rates, etc.)

- Hands-on with high proficiency in financial databases such as Bloomberg, Thomson Reuters and Datastream

- Superior client relationship management skills with prior experience in handling senior stakeholders at American and European Investment banks, Asset Management Firms or PE Firms

- Expert knowledge of MS Office Suite, especially MS-Word

Responsibilities

- Engage with Senior Investment Directors to gather research requirements, scope out research projects and build/ formulate an investment thesis

- Prepare exhaustive analytical-papers, position papers and investment research reports for the client's internal consumption and external circulation

- Write logical and conclusive market commentary on the performance of sovereign and corporate bonds, and help form views

- Prepare comprehensive fact packs fixed income funds that provide international investors an insight into the fund strategy, performance and portfolio positioning.

- Take complete ownership of account management that includes project prioritisation, time estimation, utilization management, management reporting etc.

- Lead training and knowledge sharing initiatives at a corporate level in the areas of macro-economic and fixed-income research
