Associate Site Lead - Fulfillment Centres - Warehouse Operations

Position Summary:

The Associate Site Lead will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of fulfillment centres across India. The role requires managing warehousing processes, driving operational efficiency, ensuring inventory accuracy, and leading cross-functional warehouse teams to deliver outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Excellence & Efficiency:

- Oversee daily operations of warehouses including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping.

- Implement best practices to optimize processes, reduce costs, and improve productivity.

- Use data analytics for decision-making and continuous operational improvement.

Process Excellence and Cost Optimisation:

- Develop and manage warehousing budgets, monitor expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities.

- Analyze financial metrics to support strategic planning and drive cost-effective decisions.

Team Management:

- Lead, mentor, and manage warehouse managers, supervisors, and staff across locations.

- Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Inventory Management:

- Develop and implement inventory control procedures to ensure stock accuracy.

- Ensure compliance with best practices and regulatory standards in inventory management.

Logistics and Distribution:

- Manage transportation and local distribution to ensure timely delivery to customers.

- Coordinate with logistics partners to optimize routing and reduce shipping costs.

Quality and Safety Compliance:

- Enforce adherence to quality standards, safety protocols, and industry certifications.

- Maintain a safe working environment and prevent occupational hazards.

Strategic Planning and Leadership:

- Develop long-term strategies for warehouse operations aligned with company objectives.

- Drive efficiency in warehouse resource utilization.

- Forecast warehousing needs based on business growth.

Qualifications:

- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.

- Proven expertise in managing large-scale fulfillment or distribution centres.

- Strong knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP software, and inventory systems.

- Experience in process improvement, cost optimization, and operational target achievement.

- Excellent analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work collaboratively across organizational levels.
