Associate/Senior Associate - Merges & Acquisition/Taxation

About the Role:

- We are seeking a highly skilled M&A Tax Associate/Senior Associate to join myclient's growing team.

- The ideal candidate will play a key role in providing tax structuring, due diligence, and transaction advisory services, working alongside corporate and M&A teams on complex domestic and cross-border transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

- Advising on tax structuring strategies for M&A transactions.

- Conducting tax due diligence to assess risks and opportunities.

- Collaborating with legal, corporate, and financial teams to develop tax-efficient deal structures.

- Analyzing and interpreting corporate tax laws, international tax treaties, and regulatory changes.

- Assisting clients with post-merger tax integration, restructuring, and compliance.

- Preparing regulatory filings, tax opinions, and transaction-related documentation.

- Staying updated on global tax developments impacting M&A transactions.

Qualifications & Experience:

- A law degree (LL.B./LL.M.), Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or equivalent with a specialization in tax law.

- 13-18 years of experience and in M&A tax 2-7 years of experience, transaction advisory, or corporate tax structuring.

- Previous experience in a law firm, Big Four firm, or top-tier consultancy is preferred.

- Strong corporate tax, international tax, and indirect tax considerations expertise.

- Familiarity with private equity and venture capital transactions is an advantage.

- Excellent analytical, research, and drafting skills.

- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities to work effectively in a fast-paced, client-facing role.
