Associate / Senior Associate - Credit Underwriting


We are looking for a passionate, energetic resource to join its core Commercial Lending team as an Associate/Senior Associate.


You will be part of team working as an extension to our US based client ensuring we fulfill the applicable SLA's and will specifically be in charge of supervising and coordinating the credit legal and regulatory aspects of the on boarding/renewal requests on behalf of the Front Office, with the objective to speed up the onboarding new accounts and maximize profitability with new clients.

Key Skills :

- Knowledge of new client onboarding and renewal requests

- Prioritizing, centralizing and coordinating with the FO new client requests

- Efficient in onboarding process with Credit, Legal, KYC, Compliance, Regulatory Affairs and the client

- Ability to perform complex tasks with minimal support from supervisor

- Ability to inculcate the habit of self-learning and sharing best practices

Key Responsibilities :

- Control quality/business rationale of new demands (consistency with business strategy / trading capacity, understanding of client requirements etc)

- Formalize detailed requests and business rationale for credit applications, including expected revenues, preparation of business memos for managerial approval

- Coordinate with Credit Risk Department throughout the process, ensure to enable contradictory debates with Risk

- Coordination with client Legal department

- Maintain detailed tracking of file status to ensure issues that need response are promptly escalated

- Complete regulator client onboarding tasks to make sure regulatory requirements are properly addressed and reflected in client systems

- Responsible for Global Markets Credit annual review process

- Prepare the population due for review and track it appropriately

- Work with the Relationship Managers and Product Sales across platform

- Performance reports preparation for all accounts
