Associate - Risk Management - Investment Bank - IIM/MDI/ISB/FMS (4-7 yrs)

Function Description:

The Group Capital Management (GCM) function within Treasury oversees the governance framework and the active management of solvency, leverage and bail-in ratios to ensure the bank is well-positioned externally and efficiently deploys its resources internally. In addition, its capital supply team manages provides structural resource management in particular by hedging structural market risk on capital.

The team conducts different hedge approaches for FX risk on capital within an acceptable risk threshold for FX sensitivity of our CET1 capital. Furthermore, it manages market and delivery risk from deferred equity compensation programs. In addition, it sets the strategic asset allocation within risk limits for our pension fund management in Germany with the objective to minimize capital volatility. Lastly, the capital supply team is responsible within GCM for share issuance and buybacks.

Role Description:

- Understand the group's solvency ratios and capital supply management activities

- Create a monthly overview on structural risk for senior management committees

- Prepare ad-hoc analysis on FX and equity topics with the ability to respond quickly

- Implement new developments and regulatory requirements on structural resource management

- Become a valuable team member of the capital supply management team within GCM

- Explore opportunities and support further improvement of GCM processes to deliver the above

Suitable candidate would have:

Core Skills:

- An education background in risk management or markets or accounting or a MBA from a premier institute

- Team player across regions

- Market experience

- Risk management behavior

- Strong analytical skills

- Strong numerical mindset

- Initial experience with prudential regulatory concepts (RWA, Regulatory Leverage, TLAC, MREL)

Experience/ Exposure:

- Experience in market activity or risk management or accounting

- Understanding of regulatory capital, leverage and bail-in requirements and its links to the Balance Sheet

- Some experience in dealing with Financial Resource Management (FRM) concepts

- Previous Treasury or Treasury related experience a significant plus

- Hands on experience in dealing with Microsoft Office, strong Excel skills are a must
