Associate - Risk & Compliance - Capital Markets Firm (4-7 yrs)

The individual will be responsible for designing, developing, delivering and maintaining best-in-class Compliance and Risk policies and practices for the company. He will execute the adherence to internal policies& procedures and relevant regulatory compliance requirements. The individual will ensure the compliance programs are fit for purpose and highly effective, in order to allow the company to maintain its culture of compliance. This role will report to the Head of Operations and HR.

- Develop and lead a comprehensive program to manage key compliance and risk areas

- Identifying and assessing key risks and ensuring that overall risks within the firm are effectively identified and mitigated

- Communicate/present periodically to Senior Management and the Operating Committee of the company on key Compliance activities

- Work closely with all business areas and control functions (Internal Audit, HR, Legal, Information Security) on business controls awareness and trends (include developing L1 Controls and periodic review/checks to ensure the effectiveness of L1 controls)

- Develop and disseminate Compliance and risk pieces of training and ongoing communications that help drive a company's culture of compliance

- Keeping abreast of regulatory changes, new regulations and internal policy changes in order to further identify new key risk areas

- Help develop technology solutions to support the various Compliance programs

- Interfacing with internal and external parties for Compliance and Risk audits

Job Specification :

- The expertise of Compliance laws, rules, regulations, risks and typologies

- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent, at least 4 years of experience in compliance, legal or other control-related function in the financial services firm, regulatory organization, or legal/consulting firm, or a combination thereof

- Strong presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex problems and solutions through concise and clear messaging

- Excellent written, verbal and analytical skills

- Must be a self-starter, flexible, innovative and adaptive
