Associate Partner or Director (Statutory Audits).

Location: Chennai, TN, India (Open to candidates willing to relocate).
About the Role:
Position: Business Leadership focusing on Statutory Audits.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all aspects of the statutory audit process, including planning, execution, and reporting.
- Oversee the work of external auditors, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, US GAAP) and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with internal departments (e.g., Finance, Tax, Legal) to provide necessary information and support for the audit process.
- Review and analyze financial statements and audit reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Advise management on accounting and auditing matters, including the interpretation of complex accounting standards and the impact of new regulations.
- Identify and mitigate audit risks, and implement internal controls to improve the quality of financial reporting.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external auditors, regulators (e.g., SEC, PCAOB), and internal stakeholders.
- Stay abreast of changes in accounting standards, auditing methodologies, and regulatory requirements.
- Mentor and develop junior audit staff.
- Oversee special audit projects as required.
Base Location: Chennai.
Requirements:
- Experience: At least 8 years in Statutory Audits.
- Current Role: Working in a similar position at a reputed Consulting firm.
- Leadership Experience: Minimum 2 years at an AD/D level or similar role, managing over 10 Crores of business annually.
- Domestic Experience: At least 80% of experience should be in India.
