Position - Associate Manager-/ Manager Logistics and Customer Service
Location - Mumbai
- Responsible to manage the total Logistics operations and customer service for India which includes 3 PL warehouse operation, inventory management, transportation, logistics cost and order processing.
- Responsible to manage and keep the good relationship with customs broker to ensure timely and correct clearance of all containers in Nhava Sheva port/ by air
- Responsible to ensure containers are customs cleared at Nhava Sheva port/by air with all documents submitted correctly and on time
- Ensure the trucking from port to warehouse on time and within the budget.
- Ensure the unloading of containers at warehouse on time and reporting any variance or damage inventory
- Responsible to forecast, control, report all logistics cost per month and annually for distribution labour, distribution overhead, value-added services, transportation
- Team leader to empower and motivate the India Logistics and CSR team to ensure proper execution of their daily tasks
- To keep up-to-date in topics related to BIS Bureau of India Standard and to implement as needed in Mattel import process.
- Responsible to manage the 3PL that handles the warehouse and the transportation companies who deliver the orders to the customers
- Should be able to manage Inventory reconciliation between 3PL WMS and Mattel Inventory systems
Professional experience / Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience in logistics, 3PL management, transportation and customs clearance
- Experience and proven success with managing and controlling 3PL relationships (service and cost) - for transportation, customs clearance and logistics
- Proven experience in import regulatory process and customs clearance documentation
- Sound knowledge of handling imports and exports
- Experience of managing MRP labeling process at custom bonded warehouse
- Experience at managing imports via Air and clearance at airports
- Carrying out Value added services at 3PL warehouse including requests from customers (specifically E-commerce/specialty channels, shrink wrapping etc)
- Experience with handling the requirements of the BIS process is a plus
