Position: Associate - Investor Relations\Capital Raising

Company Description:

The firm is a private equity firm that manages funds targeting primarily opportunistic and value-oriented transactions where the conditions exist for compelling absolute returns over a short and medium duration. The organization manages capital for endowments and foundations, state and corporate pension plans, sovereigns and offshore investors, as well as high net worth individuals. The firm's investments are structured in numerous capital forms including joint venture equity, preferred equity, mezzanine loans, and transitional first loans.

Responsibilities:

The firm is seeking an Associate who will play an active role as a member of the investor relations and capital raising team. Specific duties will include:

- Synthesizing firm data in support of the organization's marketing efforts

- Preparing collateral and presentation materials to facilitate communications with existing and prospective limited partners

- Participating in investor meetings as part of the capital raising process and managing on-going relationships

- Responding to investor information requests and compiling necessary due diligence materials

- Assist in the managing of roadshow agendas

- Assist in updating fund level financial models for both internal management and investors

- Participate as an active team member in the preparation of all outgoing investor communications

- Strategize with team members on enhancing the existing limited partners experience and growing the firm's cadre of investors.

- Represent the organization in a positive light at various conferences and symposiums

Qualifications:

Candidates should have broad-based analytical skills, superior capabilities in cash flow modeling, sound research abilities and outstanding communication skills.

- MBA/CA/CFA

- 2+ years of related experience with exposure to investor relations role/PE role

- Strong financial analysis and modeling skills utilizing Microsoft Excel

- In-depth knowledge of all products within Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint

- Ability to manage multiple tasks and effectively meet deadlines.

- Team player with the ability to work independently and under pressure in an entrepreneurial environment.

- Experience working with limited partners in a private equity environment a plus.

- Outstanding level of attention to detail, accountability, integrity, and ethics.

- A self-motivated, energetic, and positive individual with strong oral and written communication skills.
