Associate - Investment Bank

We are looking for an Associate level hire (Equivalent to Manager) for a leading investment bank.

Location - Mumbai

Individual Contributor role.

Job role -

Key responsibilities:

- Due Diligence - maintenance of funds comparison grid, peer group comparison/assessment, ongoing performance monitoring for internal team use

- Fund analysis

- Understand and analyze funds fit for client distribution in APAC region

- Follow CIO views and identify funds that correlate with these views

- Increasing focus on ESG requires the candidate to search for appropriate funds

- Regularly monitor thematic portfolios and make fund changes whenever required

- Co-ordinate with fund houses to get fund data, fund manager comments, product documents etc

- Product management

- Facilitate fund set up on internal platforms for trading purposes

- Co-ordinate with operations team to ensure all eligible funds are set up correctly to ensure seamless transactions and revenue tracking

- Maintenance of approved list for ETF and MF

- Manage the database of trailer loaded and trailer free ISINs

- Have oversight on the process of fund transfers (both followed and non-followed), Fundsettle platform liaison in conjunction with Fund Support team

- After sales support

- Publish monthly updates for focus funds

- Publish weekly alternative investments newsletter

- Prepare fund marketing material for sales teams, management etc

- Reporting - Regularly prepare data reports to keep track of fund flows and revenue

- Work with a multi-location team spread across Singapore, Hong Kong and Mumbai in a coordinated approach

- Build relationships, co-ordinate and engage with Compliance and various other teams across the value chain

Key skills & qualifications:

- University degree in Finance, Management or similar

- Extensive experience in the financial services industry; prior experience working in product team serving global funds will be preferred

- Prior knowledge about the regulatory environment and compliance guidelines in APAC markets for fund advisory will be preferable

- Good analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
