Associate - Equity Research - Buyside Fund - BFSI (2-5 yrs)
We are looking for an Equity Research Associate with 2-5 years of experience for a buyside fund. The candidate should preferably have multiple sector exposure with strong financial modeling/valuations skills, and a capability to identify long-term investment ideas.
Job Description :
- Strong expertise in coverage sectors (preferably 2-3 sector exposure - BFSI, IT, Infra/real estate, Pharma, Healthcare, consumer are the sectors in order of priority)
- Conduct comprehensive industry research and analysis
- Develop and maintain financial models
- Prepare, pitch, and maintain detailed and compelling financial research summaries/reports and presentations
- Actively track news/corporate announcements/regulations and study the impact on equities and fund portfolio
- Attend earnings call, prepare earnings model/management meets/conferences and provide active contribution to company and sector research
- Contribute with investment ideas based on top-down or bottom-up research across the allocated /respective sectoral coverage
- Regular portfolio analysis and report preparation for investors
Candidate Profile :
- CFA/CA/MBA (Finance) with 2-5 years of work experience in either buyside or sell side
- Candidate should be well informed about different asset classes and macro issues, with a conceptual understanding of important technical terms
- Proven trac record of generating alpha with a deep interest and aptitude for analyzing financial information, trends that affect companies, industries, and markets
- Proficient in MS office, financial modeling & valuation methodologies
- Knowledge of various data bases such as Capitaline, Factset, Bloomberg etc.
- Good presentation skills
