Associate Economist/Macro Strategy Role - Institutional Broking House (2-6 yrs)
We plan to hire a macro strategy associate
Preferred Educational experience: Master- s/Phd in Economics/Public policy etc from top economics school like Delhi School of economics, Gokhale Institute of Politics, London School of economics etc. or MBA
Work experience: At least 2 years of relevant experience in an economics team of any of the credit rating agency, Banks, Government organization or institutional equity brokerage house.
Job description:
1. Publishing updates on regular macro-economic data points
2. Producing an economic forecast for all economic variables
3. Working on various macro/strategy thematic reports
4. Database management including maintaining economic models
5. Coordinating and interacting with the entire research team for various strategy reports
Knowledge/Skills: A suitable candidate should have:
1. A rigorous analytics bent of mind
2. Hard-working and willing to work under tight timelines
3. Attention to detail
4. Clear communicator of ideas both in writing and in person, and ability to defend and explain difficult and complex issues
5. Team player
6. Avid reader
