Associate Director - Vendor Management Lead - IT (12-18 yrs)

Urgent opening with one of the leading IT MNC for the role of Associate Director-Vendor Management Based out of Chennai. Kindly revert with your interest level along with the below details;

Role

Vendor Management Lead will be accountable for delivery demands through multi-vendor & sub-contracting engagements, in order to build strong relationships.

Responsibilities :

- Design and drive vendor management strategy, systems and processes

- Develop (find and qualify) vendors for the demands in the pipeline to secure capacity, reduce costs and assure high-quality deliverable.

- Evaluation of the vendors and manage vendor performance metrics to drive continuous performance improvement

- Maintain vendor data in Vendor Management Database to ensure they contain accurate information

- Create and update records for all selected vendors, including feedback and individual pricing details

- Work with the Delivery Partner to improve delivery governance and operations metrics

- Establish and build strong relationships with necessary stakeholders on the vendor- side

- Responsible for vendor relations procuring and evaluating current pool of vendors

- Development of strategy to continually enhance quality of qualified vendors

- Continual improvement of processes and technology/automation strategy, to ensure is on the cutting-edge

- Measure and monitor quality of vendor performance through metrics and feedback via technology and key internal/client stakeholders and address vendor grievances

- Manage vendor payment issues and interact with Finance to solve them

- Ensure all appropriate Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are signed to comply with all Procurement regulations

- Fair understanding in multi-vendor engagements and sub-contracting

- Understand the client requirements, processes, and key deliverables/metrics to be tracked

- Maintain a broad understanding of the full scope of services, with the ability to draw on specialists from each of the service lines, as needed, in order to define the scope of work for them to deliver the required outcomes for individual products and programs

- Liaise with Demand Managers onsite / offshore to understand the demands in pipeline together with Offshore Delivery Director and plan for fulfillment through procurement from vendors

Key skills

- Vendor management, Project management, delivery experience, planning, risk and issue management

- Experience in Vendor or Resource Management

- Creativity and innovative leadership

- Minimum 10 years of experience, preferably some of which is in localization

- Minimum 3 years of experience leading multi-vendor accounts

- Proven experience in process improvement, budget control, performance analysis, and contract management

- Previous experience developing and implementing procurement strategies

- General knowledge of supply chain management principles and strong working knowledge of operations processes

- Communication, both verbal and written

- Customer focused and solutions oriented

- Content creation and development experience for print and digital

- Should possess good technical and functional background
