- Perform analysis & review of Independent Price Verification (IPV) results and reserve calculations for complex structured products such as CMBS, US Non Agency RMBS and CLO & ABS Securities

- Interact with multiple stakeholders globally to source IPV numbers for IHC. Analyze and challenge the underlying numbers. Communicate the results with the senior stakeholders

- Understand and assess the impact of various regulatory changes on the IPV process and designing processes for new reporting requirements.

- On short notice and with minimum handholding, start delivering on ad-hoc projects which are invariably complex in nature, involve frequent co-ordination with multiple stakeholders and require higher level of technical prowess.

- Review and challenge existing valuation techniques and proactively implement enhancements which preclude any significant error in future

- Work with the Valuation Methodology team to perform ongoing reviews of valuation techniques to adapt to changing market conditions.

- Work closely with other control groups and front office

Your team :

- The role exists within the Valuation Control Group which is part of Group Finance. The function is responsible for the validation of the final reported valuations of complex structured products through a combination of independent price verification (IPV) and reserving techniques. The function is organized vertically by asset class and also has a Valuation Oversight & Consistency team organized horizontally across all asset classes. The VCG team is spread globally with key centres in India, London, New York, Hong Kong and Singapore, with more than 70% of the team in India

Your experience and skills :

You have :

- Master's Degree in Finance, Engineering from a institute of repute, CFA with 5 to 7 years of experience in Finance industry working in financial product valuations, research, valuation methodologies or similar profiles

- Strong product knowledge across financial instruments with expertise in securitization.

- Ability to critically think, review & challenge valuation methodologies

- Attention to detail and strong process improvement capabilities

- Ability to multitask, work independently, willingness and capability to build robust control environment for IPV & regulatory reporting

- Ability to learn products within other asset classes.

- Resolve complex issues independently and communicate results to all stakeholders in a timely manner.
