Associate Director - PR & Branding - Education (10-12 yrs)

Education: A Masters degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Law, Journalism, International Relations or Public Relations

Objectives and Responsibilities of the role

1. Leadership Role:

The Associate Director, Public Relation (PR) & Branding leads the development, implementation, and integration of strategic communication plans that advance the business's brand identity in the market.

At this capacity, he/she also plays an active part in the creation of marketing strategies in conjunction with the marketing team in order to enable the cultivation and enhancement of strong and meaningful relationships with the target audience, external partners, and key media outlets, which favorably positions the business/product in the market.

As the head of all internal and external relations in the business, the Associate Director researches and identifies emerging issues and challenges that are facing the business or product.

The individual further partners with management teams throughout the business for the purpose of formulation and execution of strategies, solutions, and opportunities pertinent to those issues.

2. Content Creation:

Owns the responsibility to oversee the creation of the business's content; for example, newsletter, blogs, social influencers, annual reports, and other marketing collateral materials.

In addition to this, the role oversees all online web content and communications as well as social media interactions. The reason for this is to ensure that all content put out by the business, both in print and online, is edited to conform to the business's overall values and messages.

3. Media Relations:

The role leads and acts as the business/products spokesperson and lead point person in conventional media interactions, such as newspaper interviews, ensuring a positive portrayal of the business at all times. The Head of PR exercises his judgment in prioritizing media opportunities, making necessary coordination with appropriate persons in organizing and preparing presentations, speeches, talking points, and other external media relations materials.

At this capacity, the Head of PR actively engages, cultivates, and manages press relationships that ensure the coverage of the Universities Programs, Events, Public Announcements, among other projects.

He / She is also in-charge of the day-to-day communication activities inclusive of media budgeting, planning, and auditing on top of providing counsel to the Marketing Team in order to ensure that positive impact of each publication happens towards the business.
