Skills Required

- Labour law / IR experience as part of a previous role or as part of previous engagements

- Knowledge on recent labour law amendments and leading labour practices across sectors

- Strong network with peers and professionals in the field of employee statutory & regulations

- In addition, experience in designing organization structure, band and roll mapping, compensation and benefits, HR policy design, would be preferred

Responsibilities :

- Identification of key HR due diligence issues in M&A transaction with minimal senior manager supervision

- Preparation of HR due diligence reports including executive summaries for senior management review

- Participation in preparing proposals / business development activities.

- Leading on-ground due diligence teams and first point of contact for the client.

- Contributing towards practice development initiative, if possible- sales, people, solution development etc.

- Enhancing the portfolio of present offerings

- Responsible for engagement risk management

- The HR diligence team assists clients across the breadth of advisory activities including buy-side/ sell-side assistance, merger/ acquisition/ demerger advisory etc. from the perspective of employee cost, statutory compliances, union issues, organization structure, HR policies and employee benefits

The Candidate

- Graduation / post-graduation in labour laws or MBA in HR

- 7 to 9 years (Associate Director level) of hands-on experience on Industrial Relations or statutory compliance is required

- Candidates from management consulting / risk consulting can apply for the same

- Relevant experience in transaction services or in similar environment will be a plus

- Relevant experience in handling employee cost matters, union issues, organization structure, HR policies and employee benefits will be a plus

- Extremely high level of comfort with Excel Spreadsheets, MS Word and MS PowerPoint

- Excellent report writing skills, strong analytical, problem solving, communication and stakeholder management skills

- Ability to execute project plans, manage multiple tasks, prioritize workloads and manage individual/team budgets

- Experience in industrial relations (IR) role will be a plus

- Flexible with travel

- Ability to manage teams and client
