Associate Director - Executive Reporting

Job Purpose:

This role is responsible for executive reporting for a Global In house Center. The role involves harnessing the power of data to get insights, by way of providing leading and lagging methods of reporting. While presentation is an important part, the candidate should be fully acquainted to reporting related to various corporate functions, should be able to think logically and connect the dots.

This role will involve supporting all the functions within GIC such as Technology, Operations, Human Resources and Finance and steer towards reporting function in the real sense of the word rather than being an aggregator of information.

Major Accountabilities :

- The role will work closely with the top management in helping the company to achieve its strategic and operational goals, look after strategy and planning to special projects and executive coordination & reporting on key business goals

- Build a thorough understanding of all areas of the business to develop and for driving the analytical market based insights

- Support the MD & members of Leadership team in identifying opportunities for growth, facilitate ideation and goal setting and increase the company's effectiveness in execution.

- Present research, internal & external reports, analysis and strategic recommendations to an Executive Audience

- Craft multi-audience content pieces such as dashboards and scorecards on regular basis to enable identification of opportunities to innovate and improve.

- Drive end-to-end development and delivery of executive and management updates through the design and review cycles

- Own the creation of all external facing material produced by the MD Office for senior client or stakeholder engagements

- Drive data reliability, consistency, and adherence to report structures and timelines

- Uphold and develop standards and processes to ensure that data is being collected, maintained, and modeled in a way that makes its retrieval efficient for analysis

- Analyze internal and external data, synthesize raw information into insights, recommendations, dashboards, and reports

- Support any ad-hoc reporting to support business groups in various senior executive business partner and committee meetings

- Work closely with key influencers and decision makers across the organization to shape positive outcomes and impact business growth, and facilitate effective planning, decision-making and execution against key goals and projects.

Expertise and Experience :

- Creative development of self-serve visual analytical tools, PowerPoint slides, visualization and graphical reporting and other design principles to convey the intended business key messages

- When responding to an emerging business problem, is comfortable balancing the need for complete information vs. the need for timely recommendations

- Work on multiple projects, and in an environment that requires collaboration with a shifting set of stakeholders, depending on the project needs

- Influence and engage senior leaders and stakeholders, in order to focus efforts on and work collaboratively on solutions

- Exposure to building solutions using Apache Kafka, Confluent Platform is desired.

- Deep understanding of Financial Services organizations is preferred

- Good knowledge of Agile ways of working

Attitude/Behavior :

- Ability to develop, automate, visualize, analyze, and communicate

- Strong data analysis skills, particularly using Excel, BI / Tableau Attitude/Behavior

- Experience working in a matrix and cross-cultural environment

- Ability to connect the dots to build the story line and experience

- Very strong and oral and written communication, including ability to present complex topics simply and succinctly to an Executive audience

Skills & Education:

- Any bachelor's degree. Master's degree is desirable

- A minimum of 12+ years of total experience and relevant experience in reporting

- Experience in insurance domain is preferred

- Utilizes team collaboration to create innovative solutions efficiently

- Comfortable working with quick turnaround times and deadlines
