Associate Director - Events & Global Conferences (10-15 yrs)

- Develop the event strategy and orchestrate cross-functional team collaboration to drive participation, attendee satisfactions and profitability

- Create the most compelling attendee-driven conference agenda based on market needs and requirements, in close partnership with GRC Summit event chair, product marketing and the customer success teams at MetricStream

To achieve desired results, Program Manager needs to own the following activities, at times assisted by with various stakeholders:

- Content and Agenda research along with product marketing and local leaders

- Audience Acquisition with marketing programs, inside sales and field sales teams

- Sponsorship Sales with partnership team

- Conference operations / logistics

Specifically, the Program Manager -

- Creates customer and market focused event program that drives high participation to the event and delivers high value to the attendees

- Identifies and secures guest speakers: keynote, panelists, case studies, etc.

- Drives primary and secondary market research to understand market trends and business issues and behaviors

- Defines the positioning and communication of the GRC Summit to the target audience

- Working in partnership with MetricStream partner team, identifies, defines and drives sponsorship opportunities for the GRC Summits

- Innovates conference experiences, content and formats

- Works closely with the marketing communications team to create compelling messaging and campaigns to drive growth and increase attendee retention, as well as assist in the development of partnerships with associations, user groups, and media sources

- Owns and drives events sales to identify prospective attendees and exhibitors, articulate the value proposition, and accelerate sales growth and retention

- Owns event operations to ensure we deliver a great attendee and sponsor experience in an efficient and cost-effective way

- Owns post event communication to internal and external stakeholders

- Gathers feedback from attendees, sponsors and internal stakeholders to improve on overall event experience

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's Degree; MBA preferred, but not necessary

- 10-14+ years- experience in conference management or content-rich program planning

- Experience with large, complex multi-day/multi-track conference programs preferred

- Proven ability to drive overall direction and development of conference programs: specifically content strategy and creation, agenda development, speaker management, etc.

- Experience with vendor negotiations and management across multiple geographies

- Experience in driving or supporting audience and sponsorship acquisition

- Proven track record creating and executing strategy, and identifying untapped market and growth opportunities

- Demonstrated ability to work in a highly collaborative matrix environment, with strong stakeholder management skills.

- Excellent written and oral communication, and ability to influence

- Global / multinational event experience highly preferred

- Good multi-project management, prioritization, time management and budget management capacity

- IT / tech / banking / GRC sector familiarity or interest a plus

- Ability to accommodate moderate international travel
