Associate Director/Director - Asset Servicing - BFSI

- Our client a a leading global alternative asset management company is seeking a dynamic, results-driven individual to join its Investment Operations team in Mumbai for its Asset Servicing team.

- This team provides investment operational support to various Funds, Separately Managed Accounts and Portfolio companies managed. Functional responsibilities will include end to end operational support for Corporate Action/Asset Servicing events including event detection, monitoring and processing.

- We are looking for a subject matter expert with strong experience in notice processing, break resolution, people and stakeholder management. The ideal candidate will engage within business operations and possess strong analytical and communication skills to work collaboratively and effectively with various groups.

- The candidate should be self-driven, capable of working independently and within teams, is hands-on with experience in working on complex infrastructure in a fast-paced environment.

Primary Responsibilities :

- Processing mandatory and voluntary corporate action events with direct communication with the Front Office.

- Processing notices received for events related to paydowns, interest, coupons, delayed draws, revolvers, PIK, cashless rolls.

Take complete ownership and accountability of the Asset Servicing team. Including system maintenance, process design, completeness, accuracy, timeliness with adherence and evidencing of controls.

- Responsible for monitoring daily reconciliation of cash, position, and accruals and assisting in resolution of breaks.

- Ability to investigate, identify, comment and rectify process, operational and system issues.

- Applying back dated coupon/factor updates

- Working closely with Middle Office to tie out funds monthly

- Working closely with Security Master/Pricing team to set up new securities/symbols and ensure accurate pricing

- Monitoring and booking restructures, bridge/commitment fees, and interest defaults

- Working on ad-hoc desk requests regarding investments (new/current/closed)

- Setting up and maintaining supervisory checklists, updating process documentation and able to evidence controls and calculations.

- Responding to queries and taking complete ownership of the process
