Associate Director - Corporate Strategy/Investment Banking

About the Team :

Corporate Development (M&A and Investment) team facilitates the development of long term growth strategy through key investment initiatives . The team collaborates and works directly with the top management to drive strategic investment initiatives.

About the role :

This role will primarily be responsible for driving the ideation and execution of seed stage investments within the Organisation.

In addition, the role will also support sourcing, evaluation and execution of investment opportunities. The selected candidate drive the end-to- end investment process, including building a pipeline of external opportunities, conducting industry research, determining fit with investment thesis, driving valuation analyses, organizing due diligence, presenting recommendations to the Investment Committee and transaction execution.

What you'll do :

- Partner with best-in-class global accelerators to create customized mentorship programs for the seed stage investment portfolio

- Develop and end-to-end program for seed stage investments

- Engage with leadership team to create mentorship frameworks for portfolio companies

- Deep engagement and participating /mentoring Ventures' seed stage portfolio

Sourcing, evaluation and execution of investment opportunities for Ventures.

- Identify, assess, and execute potential investment opportunities

- Drive all stages of the investment process including origination, valuation, due

Diligence, transaction execution and integration

- Evaluate opportunities, analysing the opportunity and presenting recommendations based on fit, deal structure and transactional issues

- Post investment work closely with the investee companies in ensuring value creation and realization for Ventures.

What you'll need :

- The ideal candidate for this role would have 6-8 years of experience working with venture capital firms, Investment Banks in Technology vertical.

- Understanding of the technology landscape and a strong network within the Indian startup ecosystem, including entrepreneurs and investors

- Experience of having engaged deeply with seed-stage companies. Experience of managing/ actively driving accelerator, incubator programs is an added advantage

- Good understanding of overall investment process including term sheets, diligence, and definitive documentation

- Bachelor degree and MBA from top-tier universities is required
