Associate Director - Consulting - Renewable Energy (10-15 yrs)

Our client is a leading engineering, design and consultancy company with presence in 18 countries around the globe:

- Develop a pipeline of viable projects, utilizing renewable energy technologies to generate clean power and cost savings for customers

- Experience in developing or implementing technology packages resulting in energy efficiency or/and increasing productivity

- Actively participate in discussions for elaborating policies, laws and regulations on renewable energy and energy efficiency

- Informing clients about their options regarding energy usage and helping them to develop systems to improve their efficiency

- Ability to present the techno-economic aspects of energy investments to generate interest in energy efficiency and being a technical resource person

- Provide substantial advice to executing agencies on project preparation

- Use mapping technology to provide a better understanding of where most of the energy within a big company is used and how it can be better distributed in the future

- Summaries your findings in the form of comprehensible and succinct reports

- Maintain professional relationships with your clients- employees and develop new business relationships

- Initiate renewable energy and energy efficiency projects and advice in the process of mobilization of budget and support for the projects from development partners;

- Assist your clients to develop a more efficient and renewable energy usage plan for the future

- Help plan new buildings and ensure the energy systems are up-to-date, cost-efficient and sustainable

- Helps internal and external clients achieve quality results beyond presenting problems and precedent

- Overcomes unexpected difficulties and challenges to produce desired outcomes

- Provide technical assistance and training to efficiency program staff and contractors

QUALIFICATIONS:

University degree (Masters) in a relevant discipline (e.g. in renewable energy, energy efficiency, electrical engineering, finance and economics, applied science, environmental management and engineering will be an advantage but not essential);

- A minimum of 10 years of hands on work experience in renewable energy and energy efficiency and capacity development

- Knowledge and experience in conducting financial and economic analysis of energy projects;

- Experience in undertaking detailed data analysis and preparation of reports;

- Good interpersonal and communication skills and ability in project management and diplomacy are essential
