Associate Director - Climate Change Data - KPO (10-14 yrs)

Requirements :

We are looking to hire new resources with experience in climate change, and sustainability data to join our team and contribute to Arabesque's global growth. You will be responsible and accountable for contributing to grow Arabesque S-Ray's data products and for ensuring high content quality.

You Are Expected To :

- Develop expertise in sourcing Climate change and sustainability performance data of companies

- Collect and review data for companies across multiple sectors from Sustainability Reports, Integrated Reports, UNGC - COP, Annual Reports, CSR Reports, among others

- Maintain our high data quality standards with regular quality checks and identify methods for continuous improvement

- Develop sectoral knowledge on Sustainability and Climate change certification, management systems, standards which are all required for research in the sector

- Manage a team size of 3-5

We Are Keen To Hire Professionals Who :

- Have 10 to 14 yrs years' experience in ESG ratings research, asset management research, asset owner or investment consultant research, corporate sustainability, think tanks focused on sustainability, or academic research institutes

- Have conceptual knowledge of climate change and related initiatives such as SBTi and net-zero targets

- Have familiarity with non-financial reporting frameworks, including GRI Standards, TCFD, UNGC-COP, UNPRI, among others

- Have a strong interest in ESG trends and specific knowledge about the dominant ESG issues for selected industries, such as (not limited to) water, climate change, waste, circular economy, CSR, Shared Value Models, EIAs/SIAs, Energy Management.

- Experience in managing teams is a must

- Understand the reasoning behind integrating sustainability information into decision making processes

- Are familiar with articulating analytical viewpoints and work with attention to detail

- Have experience in training and mentoring team members and managing team members with diverse skill sets

- Possess a good command of the English language-speaking and writing

- Are not afraid of new empirical challenges and learning a new area of expertise

- Can draw inferences from and develop insights on data trends

- Can prioritize activities and meet challenging timelines

- Possess excellent knowledge of the MS Office Suite, particularly MS Excel

- Are motivated and passionate about sustainable finance and climate investing

- Knowledge of programming languages would be an added advantage
