Associate Director - Business Development - eCommerce (12-15 yrs)

Role: Lead the end to end Seller and Selection acquisition, retention, services team

In this role the person would be a key leader involved in defining and driving the vision of the platform. The person would build the team which has end to end responsibility for Quality Selection Addition at scale. Key elements of the role include:

- Understanding the sources of supply locally and globally and building the approach to sustainably onboard these at scale

- Speaking to the relevant industry partners and identifying the end to end supply chain solution

- Owning all seller performance metrics and providing them with the right support (Platform, Tools, Insights) to ensure both seller success and customer delight

Job Description - 

- Identify leading selection in the global marker, understand consumer demand trends and ensure consistent supply of new selection

- Travel as required across India, China and other supply sources to identify and build strong relationships with sellers

- Build the most effective marketing and outreach channels to sellers to both acquire and retain sellers

- Build the right seller insights and platform-level capabilities to make sellers successful on the platform

- Lead the seller performance and services marketplace teams for the platform

- Constantly feed back competitive market inputs to the category, product, operations and marketing teams to ensure growth of the platform

Desired skills and experience:

- Minimum 12 years of experience with at least 5-6 years in sales

- MBA is preferred

- Strong people management experience

- Program management skills, relationship management, interpersonal communication - ability to work with multiple cross-functional teams with an eye for detail

- Basic proficiency in MS applications e.g. Microsoft Word / Excel / Power point

Soft Skills:

- Strong bias for action

- Persevering with a never give-up attitude

- Target focused
