Associate - Corporate Development - M&A

We are having urgent opening for the position of Associate- Corporate Development (M&A) for one of our Listed Technology Client (Gaming/ E-Sports) in Mumbai.

Position Details:

Experience: 3 to 8 years of experience in corporate development, investment banking, private equity, consulting, or a related field with M&A Exposure.

Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field. (MBA or CA or equivalent degree will be an added advantage)

Position Overview:

Seeking a dynamic and experienced Associate for our Corporate Development team. This role will primarily focus on assisting with mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and monitoring our portfolio companies. The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Corporate Development to identify strategic growth opportunities and ensure the effective management of our existing investments.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in the identification, outreach, evaluation, and execution of M&A opportunities.

- Conduct financial modelling, valuation, and manage due diligence process for potential acquisitions.

- Support the integration process for acquired companies, ensuring seamless transitions.

- Monitor the performance of portfolio companies, providing regular updates and reports to senior management.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategic initiatives.

- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends and opportunities.

- Prepare presentations and reports for executive leadership and the board of directors.

- Maintain relationships with external advisors, investment banks, and other stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field. (MBA/ CA/ Equivalent degree is an added advantage).

- A minimum of 3 years of experience in corporate development, investment banking, private equity, consulting or a related field.

- Strong financial modelling, analytical, and valuation skills.

- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to senior management.

- Strong project management skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

- High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills and Attributes:

- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and drive business growth.

- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint is a must. Knowledge of other relevant software is a plus.

- Familiarity with industry-specific software and databases would be a plus.

- Familiarity with gaming / e-sports is a plus.
