Associate Consulting Actuary


Role and Responsibilities :


- This role reports directly to the Vice President of A&A Enablement and is responsible for working independently on a client for North America, as well as clients in other regions.


- In addition to working independently and in teams on internal initiatives, this role also participates in client engagements, relationship management and solutioning.


This includes :

- Works collaboratively with the A&A Account Executive on client engagements and drive usage of A&A services

- Peer reviews work done by other A&A team members

- Brings technical and subject matter expertise to all Life insurance actuarial discussions

Experience & Qualifications :

- Near credential actuary or Associate actuary

- Strong research and analytical skills

- 6 years+ of Life insurance industry experience with extensive knowledge of actuarial modeling

- Experience/Knowledge of Life insurance Actuarial tools (Preferred)

- Experience in core actuarial activities like appraisal valuation, embedded value, pricing, product development, statutory reporting, economic capital, Solvency requirements calculations, IFRS17, actuarial model development etc.

- Solvency II & Regulatory Reporting experience (preferred)

- Created and presented management reports

- Collaboration with various functions- Reserving, Underwriting, Finance, Risk, Claims and IT

- Understands the interactions between pricing, valuation (Statutory, GAAP) as well as difference in assumptions

- Experience with Python, R, or SQL will be an advantage

- Effective verbal and writing communication skills
