Associate Consultant - Automotive Manufacturing - Top Management consulting firm - IIT/IIM/BITS/NIT


What You will Do:


- Your main workstream will involve the implementation of best manufacturing practices and providing guidance and mentoring to more junior members of client staff, and delivering specialist rail consulting projects.


- You will be expected to have a strong understanding of Manufacturing principles and processes with the ability to direct and lead multidisciplinary manufacturing transformation.


- You will help clients think through how to adapt their operations in response to the continuing growth of advanced manufacturing technologies, including smart manufacturing.


- You will leverage your deep knowledge and expertise in cost reduction and operations excellence applications, to improve end-to-end operations from product development to manufacturing to service.


- As part of an international network, you'll focus on integrating insights from internal and external leaders as well as developing world-class knowledge across the smart manufacturing space. In addition, you will assist their client teams in developing strategies and technology roadmaps in order to implement processes and operating systems in support of applying advance/smart manufacturing.


- You will help their clients to transform their operations practices, develop strategies and help implement several initiatives to achieve new performance highs, working closely with clients to ensure positive impact and sustainable results.


- Additionally, you will consult to senior individuals at client organizations as well as existing client service teams on driving transformational change around advance manufacturing theory and processes.


Qualification:


- Undergraduate degree; Master's degree is a plus


- 3+ years of work experience, preferred in an operating/line role, change management role, or continuous improvement role


- Strong record of academic achievement and clear demonstration of leadership in a work, academic, and/or extracurricular setting


- Ability to identify opportunities for growth and subsequently take a leadership role in exploring new ideas


- Proven experience in applying well-developed problem solving skills (quantitative, conceptual, analytical)

Comfortable with significant client interaction and interest in building relationships


- Strong interest in and passion for coaching or mentoring others


- Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing, in English and the local office language(s)


- Willingness to travel
