Associate Consultants / Consultants in the Operations Consulting space, to work with client facing teams under the guidance of Manager / Senior Consultant’s.

The individual needs to have work experience in the operations domain - specifically manufacturing. The individual will be responsible for carrying out analysis related to engagement requirements to support teams working on assignments ranging from conceptualization and implementation of business strategy to business planning, process re-engineering and cost reduction initiatives. Participate in preparation of proposals and commercial bids.

- Participate in preparation of points of view / intellectual property for the Management Consulting practice across domains and industrial sectors

- Effectively deliver tasks on projects as guided by the Associate Director / Manager - in design, development, delivery and assistance with implementation of business advise / solutions which enable clients to achieve their business objectives and which reflect best practice

- Effectively engage client counterpart in discussions related to the tasks / project delivery and provide new perspectives / insights

- Initiate the process for specialization in any one industrial sector or solution area so as to have an independent point of view on the selected sector / solution that serves as the foundation for client service.

- Build and continuously update domain knowledge in this area.

- Network to build professional relationships within and outside the Firm

- To actively engage in knowledge learning & sharing, which involves creating and assimilating new methodologies tools and techniques, as well as converting experiences on projects into case studies.

- To find avenues to learn and contribute to the firms standards of code of conduct, ethics and client satisfaction standards

- To firmly adhere to the firm’s standards on ethics and values

THE INDIVIDUAL

- The individual should have relevant work experience in a manufacturing related environment [viz; either worked on a manufacturing excellence project / been a part of internal business excellence consulting teams / worked in line / staff function in a manufacturing organization.

- Knowledge of management methodologies like Six Sigma, Lean, Total Productive Maintenance [TPM], TOC, TQM, Asset optimization [hands on implementation with at least one or two methodologies will be an added advantage]

- Individual should be well versed with data analysis using excel. A working knowledge of quantitative analysis tools such as Minitab/SPSS/SAS is preferred.

- Certification such as Green Belt / Black Belt is preferred

- The ability to analyze financial statements, and provide a point of view / insights

- Problem solving skills to meet client needs using a blend of intuition and analysis, ability to multi-task and have a balance between strategic and operational focus

- Good communication skills, business writing and presentation skills both oral and written that help to promote clarity and also present persuasive options.

- The individual should be able to interact with the clients across levels and work in teams.

- Willing to travel and work out of remote client locations

QUALIFICATION

Engineers [from reputed institutes] with 2-5 years of work experience in the industry or consulting experience

OR

- MBA/PGDBM/PGDM (full time) from IIM’s, XLRI, S P Jain, NITIE with a Bachelor’s Degree in engineering / MBA-Tech from premier institutes

- 1-5 years of work experience in the industry or consulting experience
