Associate - Business Strategy - Digital Space - PE/VC Firm - IIT/IIM/XLRI/NIT (3-6 yrs)
ABOUT THE FIRM:
The firm is an operating vehicle that creates JVs and equity partnerships with global companies for new market expansion. It provides deep operational support in the new market, enabling a faster and more cost-effective business expansion solution Previous JVs/partnerships include global companies in the shared accommodation space, advertising agencies, an online portal, media company, etc.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
Extensive exposure to operations, investment due diligence and corporate development. Excellent opportunity to grow into a business head role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing and running modules that will help the business create new global partnership/investment opportunities and managing the partner pipeline along with the business head.
- Making new business opportunity recommendations based on emerging trends, market potential, competitive landscape and partner landscape.
- Rolling out the business with complete oversight of the P&L while working closely with finance/legal/operations to execute the models.
Nature & Purpose of Contacts
- Work closely with the senior partnership/business heads to define new growth opportunities and act as a core team member to operationalise these opportunities. Over time, the expectation would be for the Associate to take ownership of a business vertical.
- Work with the partners to manage the investment/partnership pipeline and close deals. Travel may be required.
- Work with global partners/customers to understand their business objectives and build go-to-market strategies.
Education, Qualification and Work Experience:
A minimum of 3 years of experience, preferably in the Internet domain. At least 1 year of experience as an individual contributor with excellent organizational and analytical skills. Strategic thinker and a self-starter with a strong action for bias. Strong educational background, preferably from top-tier colleges.
