The Portfolio Business Development organization builds and maintains a network of C-level executives and technology buyers to expand the revenue opportunities for our client's portfolio companies and enhance the brand as the investor of choice for Founders and CEOs of transformational companies. Additionally, the organization is responsible for establishing and maintaining strategic alliances with key partners who can assist with expanding the revenue opportunities for our client's portfolio companies.

The goal of the Business Development Associate is to research and help with identifying "win-win" opportunities and relationships on behalf of our client's portfolio companies along with established corporations starting with India and expanding to Southeast Asia. This role will support the requirements of business development initiatives which will be driving top line revenue expansion for key companies within the portfolio. This is a highly visible role, working with very senior individuals that has important impact for our client's portfolio.

This role requires a strategic thinker with the ability to correctly prioritize activities for achieving both short-term and long-term objectives. Good communication, ability to be resourceful to establish connects in new companies and relationship-building skills are critical, as the person in this position will serve an important role for B Capital and will interface with senior executives.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES:

- Research, identify and initiate new prospect introductions for the targeted Portfolio companies.

- Assist targeted Portfolio companies with introductions to CXO decision makers for revenue assists to close deals.

- Assist with executive briefings per month for targeted CXOs.

- Initiating outreach to industry associations relevant to achieve the objectives of the business development expansion plans.

- Assist business development team with creating plans, execution assistance, marketing outreach initiatives etc.,

- Building relationships with product, sales and marketing groups with select group of executives from various companies. Investing and nurturing the relationships to enable periodic engagements with the respective companies.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- At least 3 - 6 years in a Business Development, Consulting, Strategic Partnerships, or a Marketing Alliance-focused role in the geography. Preferably, a candidate will have prior experience as a founder / working with early-stage start-ups to established companies.

- Experience in strategic partnerships, alliances, and commercial agreements with corporations, industry bodies & start-ups.

- Good business acumen, including strengths in B2B and B2B2C sales and marketing.

- Broad, strategic thinker with ability to drive execution.

- Exposure to a variety of sectors and has international experience.

- Good knowledge of technology trends for enterprise SAAS, Fintech & consumer-tech products and solutions.

- Willingness to do project management in a sales, marketing, or business development setting.
