Role Title Associate Business Analyst

Job Location: Hyderabad & Bangalore (Multiple openings)

Hiring Firm: Largest Multinational Bank in India (Technology and Services Division)

Experience: 4-8 years

Role Purpose:

- The Associate Business Analyst works with business partners, collaborating to ensure their needs are met. The Associate Business Analyst will work closely with Business Partners and Business Subject Matter Experts in the definition, testing, training, implementation, and support of functional requirements.

- The Associate Business Analyst will assist staff in the as they elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis.

- Serves as the conduit between the customer community (internal and external customers) and the software development team through which requirements flow. Act as the liaison between the business units, technology teams and support teams.

- The Associate Business Analyst ensures that appropriate strategic direction and adequate solutions are utilized by effectively managing competing and shifting priorities. The Associate Business Analyst also continually seeks ways of improving work processes and business initiatives that improve efficiencies, customer care and expense control.

- Analyse specific business unit processes, work and information technology systems; recommend improvements and locate best practice solutions to meet business requirements

Implementation Support:

- Generation of regular schedule of releases

- Manage regional/entity teams and support implementation in planning activities

- Organize and ensure timely training of users and regional/entity technical staff

- Customer issue resolution implementations and upgrades support

- Scheduled customer support calls and participate in customer support team meetings

- Maintenance and refinement of product implementation team processes

- Generate both internal and customer-facing documentation

- Manage escalation for technical/user support

- Monitor and report on customer activity during user acceptance phase

- Document and deliver product feature requests initiated by customers

Role Context

- The jobholder will have direct control over area of responsibility within the usual authority limits for a GCB 6 Associate Business Analyst and may be required to work independently or part of a team.

- They must have awareness of project management methodologies and ensure that procedures to control projects are in accordance with Group Standards. In addition to managing staff, they may be required to manage multiple assignments involving interaction with several business areas.

- The jobholder will not be subject to close supervision so will be expected to exercise initiative in proactively overcoming obstacles to success. They will be expected to adopt a flexible approach in terms of working hours and travel to other locations.

Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications

Qualifications

- Undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Science, Business Administration or a related field. MBA preferred.

Experience

- The Associate Business Analyst should have a minimum of 4-6 years of experience in technology, banking, and/or operations.

- Proven project management track record

- In depth knowledge of business analysis and process development

- Overall financial services industry knowledge with specific functional expertise

- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships

- Working across cultures and in matrixes organisational structure

- Proven ability to manage staff, both direct and indirect

Skills

- Have an excellent knowledge project lifecycle and methodologies

- Communication and interpersonal skills

- Strong facilitation and sound leadership skills

- Negotiation, influence, mediation and conflict management skills

- Ability to develop cohesive working relationships with business partners

- Excellent written & verbal communication skills, other languages an advantage
