About the ESG Research Team : Our dedicated ESG Thematic Research team analyses relevant ESG topics and publishes reports on the issues and megatrends impacting investment decisions, such as climate change, renewable energy, water sustainability, corporate governance and social and labour practices. The team also partners with leading academics and sustainable finance experts, as well as participating in industry working groups and providing input to policymakers in cooperation with DWS's investment specialists as it relates to ESG. Responsibilities : As a Research (Proxy Voting, Corporate Governance) Analyst you are part of the Responsible Investment team in the CIO with hubs currently in Frankfurt and New York - Voting analysis of annual general meetings with investee companies globally - Support of dedicated Corporate Governance Services (e.g. proxy voting, analysis, engagements, reporting) in particular for institutional clients - Identification and analysis of relevant, time sensitive international Corporate Governance topics in voting proposals - Complex data analysis and qualitative screening - Support with voting processes (monitoring, execution, reporting etc.) - Internal communication of execution with the relevant stakeholders in the business - Support with presentation preparation and documentation management - Support with policy management - Support RfP activities Requirements : Education and Experience : - Academic degree in Legal studies / Company Secretaries / Chartered Accountant or similar, with basic understanding of Financial Analysis. - Broad knowledge of capital markets and company law. - Prior experience as Corporate Governance Analyst - Very good knowledge of Asset Management business - Advanced Proficiency in MS-Office - Ability to deal with large data sets and basic automation skills for productivity enhancements. - Strong analytical skills - Passionate about responsible investing/stewardship and having positive impact Competencies : - Highly motivated, self-sufficient and ability to learn quickly - Intercultural competence and strong communication skills - Highly structured and dedicated approach to work - High interest in taking on new challenges - Superior communication skills and strict attention to detail - Ability to work independently and as part of the team - High level of comfort in dealing with different levels of management
