Key Skills/Attributes (required for performing the job effectively) :&nbsp; - He / she should have expert knowledge of Indian Contract Act, Easements Act, Transfer of Property Act, Maharashtra Rent Control Act and other applicable real estate laws. - He / she should have wide exposure to litigation with good knowledge of procedural law at various courts; - He / she should be abreast with latest developments in legal field. - He/she should have high degree of legal aptitude, top notch drafting and negotiating skills with flair for finding innovative solutions to break deadlocks, be a strong communicator with excellent inter-personal skills and should be a passionate practitioner of law. Overall Purpose/Objective - Of the job To provide transactional support to the business teams associated with the Group's mall business by overseeing the timely preparation, negotiation and execution of high quality and low risk contracts. - To provide timely legal advisory support to the business teams in handling the operational and compliance related issues pertaining to the retail business. Key Responsibilities (List major responsibilities, that you have, to achieve the key objectives) :&nbsp; - Responsible for the Legal function of the Centre / multiple locations. - Responsible for drafting and vetting of various commercial documents, Lease Deeds, Leave &amp; License Agreements, etc. - Drive the legal negotiations personally with key clients like anchors/national brands along with Centre Director/Leasing Head and oversee legal negotiations with other brands. - Draft and lead the preparation of standard agreement and other document templates of the Company. - Represent the Company before various regulatory authorities/Courts of law for resolution of all legal issues. - Ensure effective litigation management of all cases - driving strategy, identification, appointment and management of external counsel, participate in drafting and filing of necessary suits, petitions, applications, handling all cases and provide timely updates to the management. - Act as a legal advisor to the business heads in anticipating and mitigating legal risks involved in the business. - Oversee and guide the business teams in the preparation and issue of various notices and correspondence to disputing brands. - Oversee safe custody of all original documents executed by the Company. - Ensure adherence to internal control systems (legal audit) to ensure that the set quality standards are maintained. - Ensure generation of weekly MIS and closely control and monitor critical transactions. - To update management with relevant legal updates impacting the business.
