- He /She would be an integral part of all aspects of the deal process viz. deal sourcing, evaluation, investment, monitoring, and exit.
- He /She would work closely and assist the Partner leading the transaction.
Job description :
- Assist in opportunity identification and deal sourcing. This would entail reaching out to promoters and build proprietary deals and also to Investment Bankers
- Mapping of various sub-sectors with investible opportunities
- Develop an understanding of commercial opportunity at sector, segment and company level. Also, benchmark the company on various operational /financial parameters.
- Develop a valuation metric based on listed /unlisted peers.
- Develop a draft term sheet for discussion with promoters /advisors.
- Develop financial models, perform sensitivity analysis and stress testing of various key assumptions to examine the impact on growth plans, valuation, and returns.
- Assist in managing the due diligence process and actively participate in business /commercial, accounting and legal due diligence.
- Assist and provide inputs in the transaction execution and deal structuring for investments.
- Prepare various investment memos /presentations at each stage of the deal process.
- Active involvement in ongoing monitoring of investments post investment (performance tracking, improving internal systems /governance, fund raise, provide strategic inputs etc).
- Assist in evaluating strategic options and exit scenarios for investee companies.
Skill Set :
- Strong analytical skills (understanding of finance, accounting and valuation concepts, excellent excel and financial modeling skills).
- Strong ability to research, analyze, distill and communicate key commercial value drivers as well as risks both at the sector as well as company specific level.
- Strong written and verbal presentation and communications skills.
- Develop a strong network of relevant industry resources.
Educational background :
- Full time MBA (from IIMs /ISB /Tier 1 institutes only) and /or CA
- 5-10 years of work experience with leading Private Equity funds (with extensive real deal experience) OR Investment banks OR Transaction Advisory /Diligence teams who have been servicing PE clients
Location : Delhi (with extensive travel)
