Job Title : Vice President or Asst Vice President depending upon experience

Department: Registrar and Banking Operation

JOB PURPOSE (JOB SUMMARY) :

Middle Management level Investment Services (IS) professional responsible for ensuring consistent day-to-day BAU production is achieved across Registrar&Bankingfunctions located in Mumbai, India. The individual proactively engages with the other local &global Team to identify and execute innovative, operational solutions that support business growth and measurably improved quality - with a focus on evolving the function to provide more cross-functional and integrated solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES :

Invest in people daily :

- Collaborates with all Org. leaders (global and local) to ensure strong and consistent approach to goal setting, performance management and appraisals, development discussions and the annual talent review process - ensuring that all elements of the talent cycle are consistent with the global program.

- Works with functional and local management to cultivate development plans for staff, to include proactively identifying appropriate training curriculums across the functions that enhance technical and leadership skills; collaborates with Org. leaders (global and local) to ensure appropriate development opportunities are available for the team

Build our competitive advantage :

- Plays a lead role in defining the operational strategy and roadmap for Investment Services Registrar and Banking strategy to meet their business needs

- Partners with function and technology leaders to identify and implement new and innovative technical solutions that enhance operational performance and productivity while taking advantage of the firm's global footprint (e.g., pursuit of automation capabilities, including Robotics)

- Monitors competition within the region to understand processes and technologies leveraged in the market place

- Identifies and supports implementation of innovative processes and technologies

World class execution :

- Participates in creating and implementing operational strategies that support the firms- evolving business needs

- Works with function leaders to provide leadership, best practices research, and support to ensure flawless execution of business strategies

- Monitors local risks and regulatory demands

This includes preparing the organization for a future where processing is automated and there is greater emphasis on oversight of third parties

- Continuous, measurable improvement

- Facilitates local management team collaboration

- Aids in defining and monitoring quality standards and service level agreements consistent with the IS strategy

- Identifies and manages local change opportunities to measurably improve the quality of Investment Services

- Regular Process review for improving efficiency and controls

Regular responsibilities :

- Registrar, banks and vendor management

- Registrar and Banking Operation including payouts, funds utilization

- Distributor Operation

- Analyzing transactions/complaints/grievances

- Unit reconciliation

- Depository and stock exchange operation for mutual fund units

- Audit supervision

- MIS

- Managing escalation from other department/investors/distributors

- Regulatory filings like FATCA\CRS\SFT\NRI TDS

WORK EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE :

- Minimum of 7 years experiences in middle level operations role

- Preferably from Mutual Fund or financial sector with some knowledge of Registrar, banking, depository, brokerage, KYC documentation, fee and commission calculation etc.

- Strong understanding of the investment services value chain, investment strategies and solutions

- Understanding of current regulatory environment for investment services in India

- Familiarity with asset management technology and operating platforms

FORMAL EDUCATION: (minimum requirement to perform job duties)

- CA, Post Graduate, Graduate with relevant experience
