Assistant Vice President/Vice President - Finance - Private Equity Firm

Our Clients- Our Client is a PE firm with investments in some of the best B2C / Fintech firms in India

Location : Mumbai

- This role will take care of Finance function for the PE firm - and report to one of the partners

- Head of Finance will be responsible for the financial management, compliance, reporting, diligence and transaction support, and investor relations functions.

She/he will build and manage a team, and will be responsible for the following :

- Preparing budgets and forecasts, periodically reviewing and reporting the same vis - a - vis actuals.

- Planning cash flow and managing treasury across the firms entities

- Setting up and implementing processes and policies for accounting, vendor management, payroll etc.

- Ensuring timely and proper compliance for the invested companies (including tax related, SEBI related, RBI related, secretarial, and other statutory requirements); liasing with various stakeholders and vendors to manage the same

- Providing support for fundraising, due diligence, transaction closure and other matters

- On-boarding of investors, and periodic and timely financial reporting to them

- Working with portfolio companies on reporting, compliance, F&A processes etc., if and when required

- Being the custodian of all Agreements entered into by the firm(with investors, with portfolio companies etc)

- Working with the leadership team on the firms strategy, and with investment/ business teams on specific matters, as may be required from time to time

What we are looking for :

Ideal candidate :

- Has 10+ years of experience in the finance function

- Ideally CA - we need someone with extremely strong Accounting/ compliance knowledge

- Is rigorous, organized and detail oriented

- Is a leader, can effectively delegate to, and train team

- Has high learning quotient and desire for growth

- Is entrepreneurial and takes ownership: Is able and willing to contribute to broader strategic discussions at the firm

- Is collaborative, can work with multiple stakeholders
