AVP Technology
Primarily responsible for ensuring the technology infrastructure/systems run smoothly
Technology Systems Support and Development - Responsible for ensuring efficient and reliable technology support systems by:
1. Maintaining and managing the current technology systems in coordination with the technology support staff.
2. Developing and evaluating new technology systems and acting as a change agent for success of new system implementation by meeting with vendors, arranging for demonstrations and trials, working with pilot program members, and planning long-term financial implications of technological change
3. Assisting and building level technology coordinators with planning and implementing professional development and learning opportunities for others.
4. Responsible for planning, implementing and ensuring automated backup systems, reliable data recovery systems, and continuous system operations on a daily basis and in the event of a crisis.
Communications Technology Systems Support and Development - Responsible for ensuring efficient and reliable communication technology support systems by:
1. Maintaining, managing and developing the current communication technology systems including in coordination with the technology support staff.
2. Ensuring that the communication systems are up to date, accurate, easy to navigate, and supportive of the organisation's mission.
3. Developing and evaluating new communication technology systems and acting as a change agent for success of new system implementation by meeting with vendors, arranging for demonstrations and trials, working with pilot program members, and planning long-term financial implications of technological change.
Technology Support Staff Supervision and Professional Development - Responsible for the supervision, evaluation and professional development of the technology support staff.
Project Management - In coordination with other vested constituents, serves as project manager in planning and implementing multiple technology systems projects.
Content Knowledge and Professional Growth - demonstrate professional knowledge, skills, and dispositions in technological areas as well as adult learning and leadership and continuously deepening this knowledge and expertise.
Required Qualifications:
- Around 10 years of (including leadership) experience in Technology.
- A degree in a technology (desired)

- Demonstrated commitment to continued professional learning.
- Experience working in multinational environment.
- Interpersonal skills, especially being a good listener, skills in written, electronic, and oral communications; administrative skills.
- Ability to analyze performance problems and create solution sets, a strong work ethic; high ethical standards; self motivated and good time-management skills.
- English fluency (written and oral)
- Extensive technical knowledge in the fields of technology systems, and the broad range of technologies used in relevant professional environments.
- Substantial experience in project management and supporting multiple technology systems.
- Flexible trouble-shooting skills to find creative, innovative solutions to support specific systems.
- Knowledge of User Interfaces and User Experience to ensure new systems are consistent and intuitive to use by various users.
