Assistant Vice President - Strategic Sourcer - IT Hardware/Software (8-12 yrs)
Role Brief:
- Significant experience of procurement/ sourcing and contracting for IT Hardware (Servers, network equipment, storage, etc.) & Infrastructure software
- Understanding of how to analyze a category cost structure.
- Align to global sourcing category and sub-category strategies when executing procurement transactions.
- This role is responsible for management of commercial and contractual aspects within the IT Sourcing spend category globally. A key part of the role includes developing and maintaining successful relationships with suppliers, peers, and internal business partners on a global basis.
Responsibilities:
- Lead global commercial and procurement aspects within IT category and value thresholds, and provide support globally to deals within their specific location for SME. Ensure proper spend categorization.
- Collaborate with other SVM regions and teams to ensure integrated delivery of procurement initiatives.
- Execute category strategy through appropriate procurement decisions.
- Conduct periodic market research for assigned category, incl. monitoring of market trends and supply/demand factors, legal dictates to help in the decision making process to meet the strategic goals of the organization. Answer contract commercial / rate card / legal / business term inquiries on existing contracts.
- Accurate and continuous collection and reporting of projects managed, contracts concluded and their associated expenditure and financial impact.
- Experience or good understanding of electronic procurement/ sourcing tools (Ariba, Ivalua, PeopleSoft, etc.).
