Assistant Vice President - Strategic Projects - Art Gallery

This is an excellent opportunity to work for one of Asia's largest art gallery.

The Strategic Projects AVP will be responsible for new and ongoing commercial projects for the company, working closely with the reporting manager and liaising across departments to ensure the viability of the project with current operations and ongoing company requirements.

The role will also monitor budget implementation across departments to ensure the financial health of the company. This role will also play an important role in formulating financial strategies for the business to ensure sustainable growth.

Responsibilities:

1. Analyse art and luxury market and business trends and provide timely updates to the reporting team, highlighting opportunities.

2. Assist in current and future strategic commercial projects including implementation, budgets review, returns tracking, and vendor coordination to drive on-time and on-budget completion schedules.

3. Develop and maintain cash flow models for future business projects

4. Coordinate the delivery of specific milestones with all departments, where the project is being managed by the Commercial and Strategic Projects department

5. Monitor the implementation of ERP for the company, providing weekly updates to the management committee

6. Provide a periodic review of financial matrices and provide a recommendation

7. Review timely sales report and present trends/highlights to the selected committee

Requirements:

1. Primary degree and relevant business qualifications. 

2. Master's degree or MBA an advantage

3. 5-7 years experience, in business and financial analysis (preferably in arts or luxury goods market); with at least 2 years of work ex-post MBA

4. In-depth knowledge of emerging technology trends

5. In-depth knowledge of excel, PowerPoint

6. Excellent communication skills. Fluent English language skills essential, other languages an advantage

7. Excellent management and team-building skills

8. Strong organisational, project management and multi-tasking skills
