Assistant Vice President - Merchandising - Consumer Durable/Textile (8-15 yrs)
Scope of the Role :
- Heading the Merchandise team and responsible for inventory turns and absolute margin targets of the business.
Key Deliverables :
- Own the inventory turns and absolute margins targets of the business
- Generate sales forecast for supply chain
- Be the champion for customer buying behavior and thereby define revenue growth through new product development plans & overall catalogue strategy
- Take pricing decisions
- Own promotions spend
- Define stock allocation plans
The Right Candidate Has :
- Experience of working on a diverse catalogue and margin structure
- Very strong commercial understanding of costing, pricing and promotions
- A very strong curiosity factor to understand new developments in the business from all the aspects: consumer attitudes, Omni channel customer buying behaviour, new product development, supply chain challenges and opportunities
- Working understanding of ERP
- Analytical outlook to decision making
