Assistant Vice President - Legal - BFSI - LLM (7-11 yrs)

The Role & Responsibilities:

- Drafting and restructuring client contracts and NDAs, master services agreements, IPR related documents, and other legal documents

- Managing a team of Associates and Analysts

- Advising the team on the strategy to be adopted for crucial documents

- Reviewing and proof-reading contracts/NDAs, analyzing clauses, stipulations, obligations, and liabilities

- Conducting research and analysis of Local and International Laws (pertinent to relevant countries)

- Identifying contractual, commercial, and operational risks exposed in the contracts

- Identifying and suggesting process changes for effective legal recourse and recovery

- Vetting legal documents and providing analysis and approvals thereof

- Providing markups and inputs to negate risks

- Establishing and implementing contractual processes in compliance with laws, rules, and regulations

- Standardizing contracts across clients/industries to the extent possible

- Liaising with internal departments on various contractual obligations to be met

- Coordinating and communicating with the clients and the service providers for contractual negotiations

- Identifying and implementing outsourced legal support services to be offered to the clients

- Coordinating and managing the relationship with the clients on the outsourced legal support services

- Staying abreast of regulatory laws and ensuring compliance

- Identifying and implementing training needs for the team

- Imparting legal training to the team for creating essential legal awareness

Prerequisites:

- Good exposure to reviewing agreements and contract management

- Strong understanding of legal terms

- Familiarity with the contract and corporate laws of the country

- Strong eye for detail

- Excellent command over written and spoken English

- Ability to meet deadlines and good time management skills

- Team-orientation with an ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously

Experience: 7-11 years of experience in contract management/legal

Education: Any Graduate. Any Postgraduate. LLM preferred but not necessary

Compensation: The compensation structure will be as per industry standards.
