Urgent Opening - AVP - Internal Audit / NBFC / Mumbai

Connections is an executive search firm catering to Pan India requirements.. At present we have an opening for AVP - Internal Audit at Mumbai in an NBFC.

Role description :

- Perform and control the full audit cycle including risk management and control management over operations effectiveness, financial reliability and compliance with all applicable directives and regulations

- Determine internal audit scope and develop annual plans

- Obtain, analyze and evaluate the process controls, review new designs, work continuously with functional heads, CRO team and finance to mitigate risks

- Carry out branch risk assessment and provide branch rating

- Act as an objective source of independent advice to ensure validity, legality and goal achievement

- Identify loopholes and recommend risk aversion measures and cost savings

- Maintain open communication with management and audit committee

- Prepare and present reports that reflect audits results

- Document process and prepare audit findings in a most acceptable, lucid way to the top management

- Conduct follow up audits to monitor remedial actions

- Ensure that internal audit resources are appropriate, sufficient and effectively deployed to achieve the internal audit plan approved by the Audit Committee

- Engage to continuous knowledge development regarding sectors rules, regulations, best practices, tools, techniques and performance standards

Desired Profile :

- Proven knowledge of auditing standards and procedures, laws, rules and regulations

- High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills ; and Sound independent judgement

- Chartered Accountant (preferred) or a recognized qualification in management like Company Secretary, Cost Accountant and preferably with international certifications in auditing like CIA from IIA and or the CISA.
