AVP - Indirect Taxation

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Be a SPOC for all India GST related Reporting, MIS, issues, escalations etc. Ensure risks & dependencies are highlighted, with mitigation options presented.

- Monitor monthly GST Compliance and review the workings where required.

- Ensure adherence with Tax Control framework.

- Lead/Mange/Participate in Projects impacting Tax processes and ensure Tax reporting requirements are adhered to in the initial phase.

- Monitor Tax breaks and maintain regular follow-up with LOB's and escalate where required.

- Create/maintain monthly MIS to support Local/Global Management.

- Work to strict and tight deadlines on a monthly basis.

- Lead Governance calls and discussions with Senior Stakeholders.

- Support ad hoc queries from Local and Global Tax Teams involving running data reports, undertaking data analysis and interpretation in a meaningful manner.

- Lead process review & efficiency initiatives.

- Partner with Technology and Tax Teams to ensure the smooth implementation of the firm's new software, including UAT, which will compliment manual compliance activities.

Requirements:

- Graduate with at least 9-12 years of experience in India GST compliance and Tax Accounting.

- CA/MBA preferred, though not mandatory.

- People Management experience required.

- Good understanding of India GST Law.

- Ability to work with, and use, large amounts of data.

- Knowledge of automation tools (Alteryx/Tableau) or experience with Transformation projects is an added plus.
