Job Description - AVP - HR
Reports to: Director
Supervises: Executive / Asst Manager
Key Accountability
- Define and drive HR policies & procedures
- Ensure that the organization's personnel policies are in line with the regulatory norms
- Recruitment of people within targeted time
- Ensure timely and efficient performance reviews for all employees is conducted and the feedback is given for the same
- Lead the change management process for all HR functions and initiatives
Key Activities :
- Manage group vision & strategy
- Understand business concept and organizational strategy
- Formulate HR strategy for the organization and any other new businesses initiates outside India
- Ensure documentation and updation of the strategy
- Implement HR initiatives to support business strategy
- Monitor strategy implementation
- Manage recruitment
- Oversee preparation of the manpower plan and authorize the same
- Ensure a proper succession plan is chalked out for key positions
- Manage the change programs for moving resources within teams
- Manage induction and career path
- Oversee and participate in induction/ employee orientation programs for all new recruits
- Communicate job descriptions and KPI's & KRAs to new recruits at the top management levels
- Develop management/ leadership/team competencies
- Oversee performance management system
- Approve of various rewards and recognition schemes
- Ensure timely review of performance of all employees and feedback is given to all employees
- Manage compensation
- Oversee study of the trends of competition and similar industries and benchmark the same
- Approve the compensation structures based on
- Industry practices
- Tax benefits
- Balance between fixed and variable pay
- Company philosophy
- Personnel Management
- Oversee employee resignation/ retrenchment/ retirement/ redeployment
- Monitor development and training of employees
- Monitor employee information
- Take disciplinary action when necessary
- Ensure employment well-being and satisfaction
- Monitor employee satisfaction
- Counsel employees in matters related to work place or working environment
- Manage internal communications
- Manage and support workforce diversity (Casual versus permanent employees, women employees etc)
- Manage implementation suggestion schemes
- Ensure employee participation in organizational improvements
- Manage HR Information System
- Develop & oversee maintenance of a HR information database which captures all employee details
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements
- Working in Fintech Start ups will be an added advantage.
